Usability Drives OrangeHRM 2.6.2

Posted in General  by Shaun Bradley

OrangeHRM 2.6.2 was released yesterday with some significant usability improvements to the personnel information module.

We are proud to announce that every single enhancement was driven by community feedback, suggestions gathered over a period of time.

OrangeHRM 2.6.3 will be released by the end of this quarter with some major usability enhancements to the personnel information module.

If the OrangeHRM team has decided to never release an upgrader this should be announced and made clear to the community. Is a bit misleading to say talk about community feedback and open source and at the same time charge for the upgrades.

Don’t get me wrong, I love the product, just don’t agree with this change of policy.

All this is good, but I am sorry to report that the name of the employee under the photo on the FIRST page (Personal Details) of the employee details is not shown correctly if it contains international characters. On the other pages of the employee data it is shown correctly though…

    Hi Ed,

The upgrade instructions are now available, we do not charge for upgrades but we followed the same instructions provided to the community to help customers who bought support, we have 2 other releases coming soon, 2.6.3 and 2.6.4, so we wanted to get the up-grader done after these releases.
    Thank you for your feedback.

    Hi Nikos,
I will look into this. Your feedback is appreciated.
