Timegrid - A New Implementation of Timesheets

Posted in General  by admin No Comments

Many of you had asked a grid view of timesheets where ESS users can enter time for whole week in a single view rather than entering event by event. Considering your requests we introduced Timegrid in 2.5-beta.1.

Give it a try and let us know your thoughts. Note that 2.5-beta.1 may not be suitable for production use. We are in the process of fine tuning the product and releasing 2.5 stable release within about another three months.

Meanwhile we are going to make beta releases regularly with fixes and improvements and expect your feedback to make 2.5 more stable and usable.

Upgrading from to 2.4.1

Posted in General  by admin 4 Comments

OrangeHRM version 2.4.1 contained automated upgraders for version, 2.3 and 2.4. But it didn’t support version

OrangeHRM is almost similar to version 2.4 except for few minor file changes. Therefore you might have noticed that has been generally called as version 2.4.

Since we observed that some users have used version and are unable to upgrade to version 2.4.1, we decided to offer a patch.

This patch should be applied to version 2.4.1 before starting the upgrade. It contains two files and those two should be applied to following file paths (Paths are shown relative to root of OrangeHRM).

Update on 20th March 2009:

The patch was updated. Now upgrader will create a log file called upgraderLog.log at upgrade directory in newversion during the data import stage. This will let you know the cause if an error occurred during the import.
